The CXSU63034 is a synchronous step-up DC-DC converter.pWU嘉泰姆
It utilizes internal MOSFET switches to achieve highpWU嘉泰姆
efficiency over full load current range. It operates at apWU嘉泰姆
fixed switching frequency of 1.2MHz, and uses thepWU嘉泰姆
slope compensated peak current mode pulse widthpWU嘉泰姆
modulation (PWM) architecture. The device canpWU嘉泰姆
operate with an input voltage below 1V and thepWU嘉泰姆
minimum start-up voltage is 0.85V.pWU嘉泰姆
2) Current Mode Operation pWU嘉泰姆
The CXSU63034 is based on a slope compensated peakpWU嘉泰姆
current mode PWM control topology. It operates at apWU嘉泰姆
fixed frequency of 1.2MHz. At the beginning of eachpWU嘉泰姆
clock cycle, the main switch (NMOS) is turned on andpWU嘉泰姆
the inductor current starts to ramp. After the maximumpWU嘉泰姆
duty cycle or the sense current signal equals the errorpWU嘉泰姆
amplifier output, the main switch is turned off and thepWU嘉泰姆
synchronous switch (PMOS) is turned on. This controlpWU嘉泰姆
topology features cycle-by-cycle current limiting whichpWU嘉泰姆
can prevent the main switch from overstress and thepWU嘉泰姆
external inductor from saturating.pWU嘉泰姆
3) Synchronous Rectification pWU嘉泰姆
The CXSU63034 integrates a synchronous rectifier topWU嘉泰姆
improve efficiency as well as to eliminate the need forpWU嘉泰姆
an external Schottky diode. The synchronous rectifier ispWU嘉泰姆
used to reduce the loss condition contributed by thepWU嘉泰姆
forward voltage of an external Schottky diode. ThepWU嘉泰姆
synchronous rectifier is realized by a P-channel MOSpWU嘉泰姆
(PMOS) with gate control circuitry that incorporatespWU嘉泰姆
