Internal Regulator cvt嘉泰姆
The CXSD61054   is a current mode step down DC/DC converter that provides excellentcvt嘉泰姆
transient response with no extra external compensation components. This device containscvt嘉泰姆
an internal, low resistance, high voltage power MOSFET, and operates at a high 600Kcvt嘉泰姆
operating frequency to ensure a compact, high efficiency design with excellent AC and DCcvt嘉泰姆
performance.cvt嘉泰姆

Error Amplifiercvt嘉泰姆
The error amplifier compares the FB pin voltage with the internal FB reference (VFB) andcvt嘉泰姆
outputs a current proportional to the difference between the two. This output current is thencvt嘉泰姆
used to charge or discharge the internal compensation network to form the COMP voltage,cvt嘉泰姆
which is used to control the power MOSFET current. The optimized internal compensationcvt嘉泰姆
network minimizes the external component counts and simplifies the control loop design. cvt嘉泰姆
Internal Soft-Startcvt嘉泰姆
The soft-start is implemented to prevent the converter output voltage from overshootingcvt嘉泰姆
during startup. When the chip starts, the internal circuitry generates a soft-start voltage (SS)cvt嘉泰姆
ramping up from 0V to 0.6V. When it is lower than the internal reference (REF), SScvt嘉泰姆
overrides REF so the error amplifier uses SS as the reference. When SS is higher thancvt嘉泰姆
REF, REF regains control. The SS time is internally fixed to 1 ms.cvt嘉泰姆
Over-Current-Protection and Hiccupcvt嘉泰姆
The JTM2234 has cycle-by-cycle over current limit when the inductor current peak valuecvt嘉泰姆
exceeds the set current limit threshold. Meanwhile, output voltage starts to drop until FB iscvt嘉泰姆
below the Under-Voltage (UV) threshold, typically 30% below the reference. Once a UV iscvt嘉泰姆
triggered, the JTM2234 enters hiccup mode to periodically restart the part. Thiscvt嘉泰姆
protection mode is especially useful when the output is dead-short to ground. The averagecvt嘉泰姆
short circuit current is greatly reduced to alleviate the thermal issue and to protect thecvt嘉泰姆
regulator. The JTM2234 exits the hiccup mode once the over current condition iscvt嘉泰姆

Startup and Shutdown cvt嘉泰姆
If both VIN and EN are higher than their appropriate thresholds, the chip starts. Thecvt嘉泰姆
reference block starts first, generating stable reference voltage and currents, and then thecvt嘉泰姆
internal regulator is enabled. The regulator provides stable supply for the remainingcvt嘉泰姆
