     The CXSU63034 is a highly efficient fix frequencysynchronous step-upB1h嘉泰姆
DC/DC converter. Output voltage of the device is adjustable. PowerB1h嘉泰姆
dissipation during operation is only 40μA typical and drops to less thanB1h嘉泰姆
1μA in shutdown. The 0.85V to 5V input voltage range makes the CXSU63034B1h嘉泰姆
ideally suitable for single cell Li-ion battery, single or dual AA battery voltageB1h嘉泰姆
step-up applications. Automatic PFM Mode operation increases efficiency atB1h嘉泰姆
light loads, further extend battery life. Switching frequency is internally set at 1.2MHz, design for use of small value surface mount inductor, input andB1h嘉泰姆
output capacitors. The internal synchronous switchesenhance efficiency.B1h嘉泰姆
Anti-ringing control circuitry reduces EMI by damping the inductance effectB1h嘉泰姆

The CXSU63034 is a synchronous step-up DC-DC converter.B1h嘉泰姆
It utilizes internal MOSFET switches to achieve highB1h嘉泰姆
efficiency over full load current range. It operates at aB1h嘉泰姆
fixed switching frequency of 1.2MHz, and uses theB1h嘉泰姆
slope compensated peak current mode pulse widthB1h嘉泰姆
modulation (PWM) architecture. The device canB1h嘉泰姆
operate with an input voltage below 1V and theB1h嘉泰姆
minimum start-up voltage is 0.85V.B1h嘉泰姆
2) Current Mode Operation B1h嘉泰姆
The CXSU63034 is based on a slope compensated peakB1h嘉泰姆
current mode PWM control topology. It operates at aB1h嘉泰姆
fixed frequency of 1.2MHz. At the beginning of eachB1h嘉泰姆
clock cycle, the main switch (NMOS) is turned on andB1h嘉泰姆
the inductor current starts to ramp. After the maximumB1h嘉泰姆
duty cycle or the sense current signal equals the errorB1h嘉泰姆
amplifier output, the main switch is turned off and theB1h嘉泰姆
synchronous switch (PMOS) is turned on. This controlB1h嘉泰姆
topology features cycle-by-cycle current limiting whichB1h嘉泰姆
can prevent the main switch from overstress and theB1h嘉泰姆
external inductor from saturating.B1h嘉泰姆
3) Synchronous Rectification B1h嘉泰姆
The CXSU63034 integrates a synchronous rectifier toB1h嘉泰姆
improve efficiency as well as to eliminate the need forB1h嘉泰姆
an external Schottky diode. The synchronous rectifier isB1h嘉泰姆
used to reduce the loss condition contributed by theB1h嘉泰姆
forward voltage of an external Schottky diode. TheB1h嘉泰姆
synchronous rectifier is realized by a P-channel MOSB1h嘉泰姆
(PMOS) with gate control circuitry that incorporatesB1h嘉泰姆
