     The CXSU63034 is a highly efficient fix frequencysynchronous step-upqC4嘉泰姆
DC/DC converter. Output voltage of the device is adjustable. PowerqC4嘉泰姆
dissipation during operation is only 40μA typical and drops to less thanqC4嘉泰姆
1μA in shutdown. The 0.85V to 5V input voltage range makes the CXSU63034qC4嘉泰姆
ideally suitable for single cell Li-ion battery, single or dual AA battery voltageqC4嘉泰姆
step-up applications. Automatic PFM Mode operation increases efficiency atqC4嘉泰姆
light loads, further extend battery life. Switching frequency is internally set at 1.2MHz, design for use of small value surface mount inductor, input andqC4嘉泰姆
output capacitors. The internal synchronous switchesenhance efficiency.qC4嘉泰姆
Anti-ringing control circuitry reduces EMI by damping the inductance effectqC4嘉泰姆

The CXSU63034 is a synchronous step-up DC-DC converter.qC4嘉泰姆
It utilizes internal MOSFET switches to achieve highqC4嘉泰姆
efficiency over full load current range. It operates at aqC4嘉泰姆
fixed switching frequency of 1.2MHz, and uses theqC4嘉泰姆
slope compensated peak current mode pulse widthqC4嘉泰姆
modulation (PWM) architecture. The device canqC4嘉泰姆
operate with an input voltage below 1V and theqC4嘉泰姆
minimum start-up voltage is 0.85V.qC4嘉泰姆
2) Current Mode Operation qC4嘉泰姆
The CXSU63034 is based on a slope compensated peakqC4嘉泰姆
current mode PWM control topology. It operates at aqC4嘉泰姆
fixed frequency of 1.2MHz. At the beginning of eachqC4嘉泰姆
clock cycle, the main switch (NMOS) is turned on andqC4嘉泰姆
the inductor current starts to ramp. After the maximumqC4嘉泰姆
duty cycle or the sense current signal equals the errorqC4嘉泰姆
amplifier output, the main switch is turned off and theqC4嘉泰姆
synchronous switch (PMOS) is turned on. This controlqC4嘉泰姆
topology features cycle-by-cycle current limiting whichqC4嘉泰姆
can prevent the main switch from overstress and theqC4嘉泰姆
external inductor from saturating.qC4嘉泰姆
3) Synchronous Rectification qC4嘉泰姆
The CXSU63034 integrates a synchronous rectifier toqC4嘉泰姆
improve efficiency as well as to eliminate the need forqC4嘉泰姆
an external Schottky diode. The synchronous rectifier isqC4嘉泰姆
used to reduce the loss condition contributed by theqC4嘉泰姆
forward voltage of an external Schottky diode. TheqC4嘉泰姆
synchronous rectifier is realized by a P-channel MOSqC4嘉泰姆
(PMOS) with gate control circuitry that incorporatesqC4嘉泰姆
