     The CXSU63034 is a highly efficient fix frequencysynchronous step-upP8l嘉泰姆
DC/DC converter. Output voltage of the device is adjustable. PowerP8l嘉泰姆
dissipation during operation is only 40μA typical and drops to less thanP8l嘉泰姆
1μA in shutdown. The 0.85V to 5V input voltage range makes the CXSU63034P8l嘉泰姆
ideally suitable for single cell Li-ion battery, single or dual AA battery voltageP8l嘉泰姆
step-up applications. Automatic PFM Mode operation increases efficiency atP8l嘉泰姆
light loads, further extend battery life. Switching frequency is internally set at 1.2MHz, design for use of small value surface mount inductor, input andP8l嘉泰姆
output capacitors. The internal synchronous switchesenhance efficiency.P8l嘉泰姆
Anti-ringing control circuitry reduces EMI by damping the inductance effectP8l嘉泰姆
in DCM mode. The CXSU63034 is available in SOT23-6 package.P8l嘉泰姆

1)General DescriptionP8l嘉泰姆
The CXSU63034 is a synchronous step-up DC-DC converter.P8l嘉泰姆
It utilizes internal MOSFET switches to achieve highP8l嘉泰姆
efficiency over full load current range. It operates at aP8l嘉泰姆
fixed switching frequency of 1.2MHz, and uses theP8l嘉泰姆
slope compensated peak current mode pulse widthP8l嘉泰姆
modulation (PWM) architecture. The device canP8l嘉泰姆
operate with an input voltage below 1V and theP8l嘉泰姆
minimum start-up voltage is 0.85V.P8l嘉泰姆
2) Current Mode Operation P8l嘉泰姆
The CXSU63034 is based on a slope compensated peakP8l嘉泰姆
current mode PWM control topology. It operates at aP8l嘉泰姆
fixed frequency of 1.2MHz. At the beginning of eachP8l嘉泰姆
clock cycle, the main switch (NMOS) is turned on andP8l嘉泰姆
the inductor current starts to ramp. After the maximumP8l嘉泰姆
duty cycle or the sense current signal equals the errorP8l嘉泰姆
amplifier output, the main switch is turned off and theP8l嘉泰姆
synchronous switch (PMOS) is turned on. This controlP8l嘉泰姆
topology features cycle-by-cycle current limiting whichP8l嘉泰姆
can prevent the main switch from overstress and theP8l嘉泰姆
external inductor from saturating.P8l嘉泰姆
3) Synchronous Rectification P8l嘉泰姆
The CXSU63034 integrates a synchronous rectifier toP8l嘉泰姆
improve efficiency as well as to eliminate the need forP8l嘉泰姆
an external Schottky diode. The synchronous rectifier isP8l嘉泰姆
used to reduce the loss condition contributed by theP8l嘉泰姆
forward voltage of an external Schottky diode. TheP8l嘉泰姆
synchronous rectifier is realized by a P-channel MOSP8l嘉泰姆
(PMOS) with gate control circuitry that incorporatesP8l嘉泰姆
