The CXLB7389 series are highly integrated single cellxwE嘉泰姆

Li-Ion/Polymer battery charger IC designed for handheldxwE嘉泰姆

devices. This charger is designed to work with variousxwE嘉泰姆

types of AC adapters or a USB port and capable ofxwE嘉泰姆

operating with an input voltage as low as 2.65V.xwE嘉泰姆

The CXLB7389 operates as a linear charger and charges thexwE嘉泰姆

battery in three phases: trickle current, constant current,xwE嘉泰姆

and constant voltage. When AC-adapter is applied, anxwE嘉泰姆

external resistor sets the magnitude of the charge current,xwE嘉泰姆

which may be programmed up to 1.5A with TDFN10xwE嘉泰姆

package and a current-limited adapter for lowest powerxwE嘉泰姆

dissipation.xwE嘉泰姆

The CXLB7389 features thermal regulation loop to controlxwE嘉泰姆

charge current to keep safe operation when PCB lacked ofxwE嘉泰姆

enough heat-sinking. A programmable charge timerxwE嘉泰姆

provides a backup safety for termination. The CXLB7389xwE嘉泰姆

automatically re-starts the charge if the battery voltagexwE嘉泰姆

falls below an internal threshold and automatically entersxwE嘉泰姆

sleep mode when DC supplies are removed. No externalxwE嘉泰姆

sense resistor or blocking diode is required for charging. AxwE嘉泰姆

NTC thermistor interface is used for charging the batteryxwE嘉泰姆

                       in a safe temperature range.xwE嘉泰姆
