Internal Regulator uu8嘉泰姆
The CXSD61054   is a current mode step down DC/DC converter that provides excellentuu8嘉泰姆
transient response with no extra external compensation components. This device containsuu8嘉泰姆
an internal, low resistance, high voltage power MOSFET, and operates at a high 600Kuu8嘉泰姆
operating frequency to ensure a compact, high efficiency design with excellent AC and DCuu8嘉泰姆
performance.uu8嘉泰姆

Error Amplifieruu8嘉泰姆
The error amplifier compares the FB pin voltage with the internal FB reference (VFB) anduu8嘉泰姆
outputs a current proportional to the difference between the two. This output current is thenuu8嘉泰姆
used to charge or discharge the internal compensation network to form the COMP voltage,uu8嘉泰姆
which is used to control the power MOSFET current. The optimized internal compensationuu8嘉泰姆
network minimizes the external component counts and simplifies the control loop design. uu8嘉泰姆
Internal Soft-Startuu8嘉泰姆
The soft-start is implemented to prevent the converter output voltage from overshootinguu8嘉泰姆
during startup. When the chip starts, the internal circuitry generates a soft-start voltage (SS)uu8嘉泰姆
ramping up from 0V to 0.6V. When it is lower than the internal reference (REF), SSuu8嘉泰姆
overrides REF so the error amplifier uses SS as the reference. When SS is higher thanuu8嘉泰姆
REF, REF regains control. The SS time is internally fixed to 1 ms.uu8嘉泰姆
Over-Current-Protection and Hiccupuu8嘉泰姆
The JTM2234 has cycle-by-cycle over current limit when the inductor current peak valueuu8嘉泰姆
exceeds the set current limit threshold. Meanwhile, output voltage starts to drop until FB isuu8嘉泰姆
below the Under-Voltage (UV) threshold, typically 30% below the reference. Once a UV isuu8嘉泰姆
triggered, the JTM2234 enters hiccup mode to periodically restart the part. Thisuu8嘉泰姆
protection mode is especially useful when the output is dead-short to ground. The averageuu8嘉泰姆
short circuit current is greatly reduced to alleviate the thermal issue and to protect theuu8嘉泰姆
regulator. The JTM2234 exits the hiccup mode once the over current condition isuu8嘉泰姆
removed. uu8嘉泰姆
Startup and Shutdown uu8嘉泰姆
If both VIN and EN are higher than their appropriate thresholds, the chip starts. Theuu8嘉泰姆
reference block starts first, generating stable reference voltage and currents, and then theuu8嘉泰姆
internal regulator is enabled. The regulator provides stable supply for the remaininguu8嘉泰姆
